Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet
Join us to honor these individuals who have been champions against injustice. All proceeds from the event go to support the work of the Ignatian Spirituality Project in St. Louis, which provides overnight retreats and spiritual care to men and women who are homeless and in recovery from addiction.
We are delighted to again be holding the event at the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet Motherhouse, where countless ISP retreats have been hosted and the Sisters have extended abundant grace, hospitality and generosity to hundreds of retreatants!
About the Company of Grace
In 1543, while in Rome, Ignatius established the House of St. Martha, a ministry dedicated to women living on the margins, mainly those trapped in prostitution. At the same time, he established the “Company of Grace,” a confraternity of lay people who became involved in the ministry, and were its earliest supporters. Today in St. Louis (alongside 26 other cities throughout the country, dozens of women and men volunteer in the ministry of ISP. On May 1st, we will honor John and Sr. Connie as champions against injustice and continue to build this modern “Company of Grace.”
